I've worked as a computer programmer, magazine editor,
college teacher, sales clerk, technical writer, systems analyst,
makeup artist, photographer and secretary. I'm 'retired' now,
devoting most of my time to art, books, music, games and of
course comics.

In 2005 and 2006 I self-published three books on Lulu.com; a collection of essays
and two young adult novels. Print and e-book versions remain available in my Lulu.com store. (Novel cover art by Jade Gordon.) |

Before I began drawing my current comic in June 2008, I spent two years
drawing a comic called A Queer Turn of Events. It was part
illustrated story and part comic, a sequel to the Queer Circle of Friends
novel (above). Most of the art was pretty bad, but I feel I learned a lot during the project. I used Adobe Illustrator (I did not have Manga Studio), and had a lot of fun with my characters. |
