Games I PlayI have always been a big fan of board games, and was rather serious about chess in high school. Though I became involved with computers in the early 1970's, I avoided video games because they take so much time and because programming and managing that era of computers was game enough in itself for me. Now that I'm retired and have free time on my hands, I've finally begun playing console games. Most of the console games I play are story-oriented role-playing games of Japanese origin (J-RPGs). My favorite games are in bold. Not coincidentally they mostly have a female view-point character and strong stories. |

This page is simply a listing of games; I have more to say about games I like. (Generally I only finish games I like; why suffer the pain to finish something I'm not enjoying.) Because of that, there's a good chance I'll replay a game if I live long enough, so I make notes for future use.
Listed below are only the games I have finished or am actively playing; I have many more waiting to be played, and not a few that I've given up on or decided are not for me.

* These are games I have played repeatedly with my two grown children. (That's why I own the multitap.) They are PC gamers, and well familiar with Baldur's gate. We are rather less fond of the EverQuest universe, and hate Firiona Vie with a passion.
Non-computer games: I generally play with my two grown children, so I rarely have an opportunity to use the two-player only games.
